Interpretive naturalist makes conservation engaging and accessible

Educate The People
I’m Lynette Anderson, I’m an interpretive naturalist and landscape restoration specialist with Belwin Conservancy, which means I guide hikes and programs for the public and work to restore and reconstruct native habitats. I minored in environmental education at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point which inspired me to think about why I love nature and that I could make a career in helping others learn to love nature. Development continues to threaten native habitats but by building an awareness in the public, I hope to help people bring nature more intimately into their lives. Through my work, I’ve cultivated a community of volunteers and nature lovers who support one another outside of our shared time together. It just feels good to give back to the land and the people that make up our communities.
