Spreading Kindness One Handwritten Card at a Time

Uplift The People
I’m Juliette Berkabile, and I share kindness through handwritten notes. I help lead the Cards of Kindness effort here in Las Vegas, and I was inspired by my friend Trisha Higgins who started the initiative in Massachusetts. I write and collect cards filled with encouragement for people who need a reminder that they’re not alone. It’s a small thing, but it carries meaning and intention.

I’m inspired by the people who pause their busy lives to lift others up, even in simple ways. Seeing my own family and neighbors join in reminds me that compassion can spread quickly when people have a way to act on it.

I hope to ease the loneliness that so many people feel, especially in a world where connection thrives in community. Writing by hand is personal. It slows you down and makes you think about someone else’s experience. If even one note makes someone smile or feel seen, that’s the goal.
