Loose Ends aims to ease grief, create community, and inspire generosity by matching volunteer handwork finishers with textile projects people have left undone due to death or disability. We are a nonprofit that has been around for about 3 years, and in that time we have matched more than 4500 projects, and have engaged with more than 36,000 volunteers who offer their crafting skills to help strangers. Crafts include knitting, crochet, quilting, needlepoint, embroidery, weaving, rug making, cross-stitch among others. These heroic givers offer their time and skill to give comfort to grieving neighbors.
