My name is Daphne Bryant, and I’m the founder of Dreamworldgirl Zine! I started Dreamworldgirl for many reasons, but mostly so that there would be a whimsical space for creatives to make art with like-minded individuals. The zine, which aims to platform women and other marginalized gender identities from all over the world, provides a very special and fun community for underrepresented voices. Aesthetically and tonally, the zine is rooted in nostalgia and the Y2K era. We reimagine that time, which so many members of my team lived through, in a more inclusive and profound way. From publishing biannual publications to hosting local events, Dreamworldgirl Zine is always looking for fresh, new ways to connect with our audience and the talented people who support us. I love Dreamworldgirl because it’s my passion. It pushes me creatively, motivates me to be a more caring person, and touches other people in ways only zines can do.
