My name is Oliver Seifert and I am a UCLA student originally from Carmel, Indiana. Three years ago, I stepped onto the court as a volunteer tennis instructor, never imagining how much the experience would transform me. As I transitioned to coaching private lessons, I discovered that teaching tennis was about far more than perfecting serves and backhands. Through countless hours with my students, I learned the true meaning of perseverance and determination—not just as abstract concepts, but as living qualities I witnessed in every young player who refused to give up on a difficult shot. Most importantly, I found that connecting with kids and earning their trust doesn't come from what you say, but from who you are when they're watching. The court became my classroom for leading by example.
