Building Bridges for Families, Once Case at a Time

Advocate For The People
I’m Abigail Seymour, founder of Camino Law in Greensboro, North Carolina. I’m a family lawyer, and I started this firm to serve families in transition with compassion and care. Most of my clients are Spanish speakers, and my fluency in Spanish helps me bridge gaps so immigrant families have the support they need navigating separation, custody, and conflict. My mission is to reduce trauma for children and help families move forward with dignity.

The call to serve runs deep in me. My grandfather and uncle were both lawyers who believed in giving back, and I was raised on the question, “Are you helping out, or are you part of the problem?” That stuck with me, and when I came to law later in life, I knew my work had to reflect those values. Service is at the heart of everything I do.

This work can be heavy, but my own experiences with divorce, custody, and loss allow me to meet clients with empathy and understanding. I’ve learned I don’t need to hide the creative, authentic parts of myself to be a good lawyer — those qualities make me better at supporting families through some of their hardest moments.

At Camino Law, we call ourselves a for-profit firm with a nonprofit heart. We provide pro bono work, support local nonprofits, and center compassion in every case. To me, being American is about embracing diversity, protecting families, and building communities rooted in justice and care. That’s what I strive for every day.
