"God's plan was a garden: we chose THIS" is often part of my mom's answer to questions about why a Good God allows hard, horrible things. I agree & take comfort from the idea. As I see it, if our choices led us to this, our choices can lead us back to that. Our choices can even plant parts of that garden on our small plot of this weary world. Roots can be coaxed from cuttings, pits and cores if you put a little care into them. Life from death, original seed not required. Children are the same! Research shows the more safe, stable adults kids have around them growing up, the greater the chance their choices will be Good for themselves and those around them. I serve these little flowers because I know one day they'll be gardeners with their own choices to make.
