I own a market and bakery called Texas Scratch Kitchen, and we offer high-quality food, baked goods, grab and go items for a community that is essentially a food desert. It's also a place to hang out, get together, and gather with the community. My mom taught me to cook and bake. I was heavily inspired by all of my family from all different generations and their values around why it's important to feed people and to bring people together through food.
