Snug As A Bug Bags characterizes my life; both in my struggles with domestic abuse, illness, disability, and the healing power and victory that service to others brings. This is my way of bringing hope, both to individuals facing hardships, uniting my community around service, and being honest about life’s challenges.
We all know the pain of such things, but how do we make something good from them? Service, creativity, making something with your hands, including kids, seniors, parents, everyone really, this is a way to change your perspective on injustices and personal heartaches.
The hardest part of this was finding others to help me. I did this alone for several years. It wasn’t until I came up with the theme bags and told my own story, that others now help me. It really is a beautiful thing to see God working through this project; growing it, and expanding it to surrounding communities and beyond.
