Welcome! My name is Michelle Wilson and I'm a very DIY self-taught seamstress.

I grew up sewing with my grandmother. As I got older, I began making jackets out of old quilts so that people could keep heirlooms close without having to keep them in a bin.

What I found out was that it was like wearing a hug. Some of the designs are my own, and others are from patterns I've found. But the results are always the same, keeping the history and memories of the old quilts alive in a new way
is what keeps it fun for me.

Sewing, like any craft, can be messy - just like life. Don't worry about the mistakes, just stay after it and enjoy the journey.
