Being a member of a non-profit community is truly special in a lot of ways. The most insightful part about working for a nonprofit restaurant is learning how to juggle running a restaurant space while also obtaining the funds to keep this safely afloat! There is a lot of pride in keeping this space full of respect and dignity for our guests that rely on us daily. I think what some people may not understand is how severe food insecurity is not only in Denver but the country as a whole. That is why it is so important to keep working hard to feed our guests and neighbors, and treat everyone fairly and again, with dignity. I don't think that there is one crowning moment since joining this team, just the work in general is very important and meaningful to me. Being able to show up for this community in ways that are bigger than myself has been extremely fulfilling!
