I've been helping my community ever since the pandemic began in 2020. During that time, I drove over 500 miles distributing care packages, PPE, and hot food to those who were most in need. I coordinated a park cleanup that involved the efforts of about a dozen families and the Parks Department. I initiated a fundraiser that helped save a baby's life in Uganda. I also collect used running shoes and send them to runners who live in developing countries. Lately, I've been involved in rescuing perishable food and redistributing it back to members of my community. Through all of my efforts, it is the greatest feeling to help complete strangers who are in need. I have set an example for others to follow, and due to my efforts, more people are helping the community.
