Every week, I wear many hats in service to others—each one rooted in compassion and a deep sense of calling. As an EMT and President of our all-volunteer EMS agency, I lead with both urgency and empathy. Whether responding to emergencies or coordinating logistics behind the scenes, I ensure our team is equipped, supported, and ready to serve. It's not just about saving lives in the moment; it's about building a resilient, responsive community that can lean on us when it matters most.
Beyond the sirens and stretchers, I step into quieter spaces of healing. At a private, nonprofit hospital specializing in addiction and mental health, I serve as chaplain, offering spiritual care to those navigating some of life’s most difficult terrain. I listen without judgment, pray with those who seek comfort, and hold space for stories that often go unheard. My role as Minister of Pastoral Care at our congregational church complements this work—there, I guide parishioners through grief, celebration, and spiritual growth, weaving together faith and fellowship.
In the hospital’s quiet corridors, I also serve as a bedside chaplain, meeting patients and families in moments of vulnerability. Sometimes it’s a prayer before surgery, other times it’s simply sitting in silence with someone who feels alone. These encounters remind me that presence is powerful. Whether in the back of an ambulance, a chapel, or a hospital room, my mission remains the same: to show up with compassion, offer hope, and be a steady hand in the storm
