Cleaning the home of someone with cancer is one of the most personal, intimate ways to care for them

Support The People
When my mom was first diagnosed with cancer, I was in complete disbelief. She was the most outgoing person I knew. She birthed and raised 9 kids. She never got sick. How could she all of a sudden be fighting for her life?

You don't realize how much cancer can affect you until it happens. It's mentally and physically draining. It became so hard for my mom to do the simplest things. Her hands would go numb. Surgery became a regular part of our lives.

When someone's world turns upside down like that, little kindnesses you never thought twice about--like having someone to clean your house--can bring such a relief and rest to your heart. It is such an honor for me to be able to give a professional cleaning to someone struggling through cancer treatment. It's a way I can connect to those in need and use my God given talents to bless and touch people's lives.

I am thankful that my Mom's journey through cancer is coming to an end and she is doing well. I hope to continue my work with Cleaning for a Reason, to help other people who can't take care of their house the way they used to before their diagnosis. Because there's no comparison to the human side of serving others.
