Kat first volunteered during her middle school days for the YMCA in Hawaii, giving food to homeless people. When she moved to California, she continued to give back, volunteering at a community center called Logan Heights where she is in charge of giving food packages to families. This work has helped her realize that we are all people who just want to live and be seen, and has kept her own personal problems in perspective.
