I shine a light on everyday heroes who show up when no one’s watching: caregivers, helpers, and problem solvers who hold communities together

Listen To The People
I set out to understand what makes people care and it evolved into creating a documentary series.

Years ago, I became a Certified Nursing Assistant so I could see caregiving from the inside. I wanted to feel what it’s like to show up every day for someone who can’t always show up for themselves. What I found was humanity in its rawest form: quiet moments of laughter, heartbreak, and grace.

That experience changed me. I realized the people holding up our long-term care system—the CNAs, nurses, activity directors, and kitchen staff—are the beating heart of every community, and yet they’re often invisible. That’s why I started People Worth Caring About: to tell their stories with the respect and depth they deserve.

Through filming in care homes across the country, I’ve met caregivers who remind me what resilience looks like.

Every episode is a mirror held up to who we are as a nation. When we honor caregivers, we honor the values that built this country—hard work, compassion, and community.

What I gain from this work is perspective. It’s easy to scroll past suffering; it’s harder to look someone in the eyes and listen. But that’s where connection begins. Lifting others up isn’t a slogan—it’s an act of citizenship. It’s believing that our country is strongest when we see the worth in one another.

That’s what keeps me doing this work. Because the truth is simple: we are all people worth caring about.
