I spent the last 7 years of my 24 year teaching career building a Humanities class to fill education gaps in my high school. I created an environment where students feel safe to explore their creative side and express their opinions. I wanted to create a unique teaching structure where students have a voice in what they're learning and spending their time on. My class is known across multiple towns in my community. One of the greatest things about my role is that students reach out even after they graduate and move away to tell me the impact I had in their lives.
