I’m one of the Beyond Hunger Ambassadors. I work the nutrition table that we have out during food pantry distribution. We hand out healthy recipes and give nutrition information to people that come in. We try to help educate them on things they can eat that is really good for them. Before I started working with Beyond Hunger, I was struggling with my diabetes and my health in general. Then I met one of their dieticians and she told me about the ambassador program. I signed up and learned a lot about eating healthier. Now, I share some of my new favorite foods: broccoli, salmon, spinach, salads. I love salads with cucumbers, tomatoes. I learned to embrace different foods. I love the opportunity to share that knowledge and help people eat better.
