I was fortunate enough be part of a group of Marines who were first responders in the wake of the tornado that hit Joplin, Missouri. During my time there I helped provide support via cleanup efforts as well as food and essentials to those affected. This was the reason I joined the Marines and one of the most rewarding experiences of my service.
