I’m Robert DeCandido, PhD, but better known around Central Park as “Birding Bob.” My bird walks began in spring 1992 and have continued each year since then. I worked on the reintroduction of the Eastern Screech-owl to Central Park and various breeding bird surveys of the park.

While birding in the city may seem unconventional, we are fortunate enough to see an incredible variety of species and have built a dedicated community that joins us on these walks every week.
