My name is Anna Hanson. I am the operations director for Nosebleeds Film Festival and Magazine.
After working for festivals like Sundance, Mill Valley, Las Vegas and Rome to name a few, I started Nosebleeds with my two brothers more than a decade ago.
For us, it's not about the size of the screen we offer, it's that there is a screen at all.
Having an audience for a film you've made is imperative to the growth of any filmmaker. We strive to offer a place where community and creatives can come together to support the work as well as spark conversation.
Many of the projects we show are first time and student filmmakers. We have also screened projects from over 25 countries.
It's hard to create any project. What we strive to provide as a festival is a general understanding and acknowledgement of your work.
Without a screen many projects get missed. We know that not everyone can get a streaming deal. If people miss a film, even at a festival like ours, often times they'll never come across that project again.
We want every creative to know that if they take the time to make it, we'll take the time to watch it.
