Laura Bradham, Preserving Nature and Community in Houston

Repair For The People
As president of the Friends group at our Houston nature preserve, I help organize community events, conservation workdays, and educational programs that bring neighbors together to care for this beautiful urban forest. I’m inspired by the volunteers, scouts, and neighbors who show up week after week, proving how powerful community action can be. My goal is to help people see the value of this green space and ensure it remains protected and accessible for everyone. Contributing my time and energy to the preserve fills me with joy, it’s deeply rewarding to watch both nature and community flourish side by side!
