My name is Paul Wyncoop, and I contribute to my community through my work with the Preservation Trust of Vermont, a nonprofit that focuses on restoring old buildings and building the community surrounding them. I have also been a part of Habitat for Humanity, the Town Hall Theater Board, and the Robin Hood foundation, which helps support low income communities through renovating public school libraries. Through my volunteer and nonprofit work, I realized how much I loved historical preservation and being able to be a part of rebuilding a once lost community. It is so inspiring seeing people be excited about a historical site and want to preserve it and then eventually get to experience it and use it. In my everyday live I truly try to live a life of generosity, giving back, and connection with my community, which working with the PTV allows me to do.
