I can’t bring my son back, but I can honor him by helping others

Save The People
I founded Connor’s Heart after losing my son, Connor, to fentanyl poisoning in 2022. His memory inspires me to turn grief into purpose by raising awareness and fighting this crisis.
I contribute by organizing concerts and live events that honor Connor’s life while raising money and sharing life-saving information. The funds support prevention, Narcan vending machines, and access to treatment. Every event is not just about music but about building community and creating hope.
I am inspired by Connor and by families like mine who have been affected. I am also moved by the people who show up: musicians, supporters, and other parents, who remind me we’re not alone. The problem I hope to solve is the silence and stigma surrounding fentanyl in New Mexico, a state with some of the highest overdose rates in the country.
What I get out of contributing is purpose in the middle of heartbreak. I can’t bring Connor back, but I can honor him by helping others.
