Looking back on a lifetime of service - from church, to school, to wounded warriors - a life of service is a life well-lived

Play For The People
Life has been precious. Looking back on a lifetime of service reminded me how much I was able to contribute - through church, education, writing, music and fundraising. A teacher inspired me to teach, a decision I'll never regret. After earning 20K for our school via competitions/contests, I became Kansas State Regional teacher of the year. My experiences culminated in touring the state and writing 4 books for teachers and students. I also wrote a song during 9/11 that allowed us to purchase an infrared imaging system for the Gardner Fire department.

I've been a church pianist and ventriloquist for 50 years as a result of a need in my father's church. My husband (then deployed) and I ended up writing a Patriotic CD which allowed us to perform and donate money to Wounded Warriors among several other organizations. Just a few examples of using my passions and creativity to help others. I also strive to encourage others I meet along the way to give back in their own way.

Serving others has been the greatest blessing in my life. My husband graduated from West Point. Their motto is Duty - Honor - Country. I ? agree!
