I'm passionate about Black history in my hometown of Oklahoma City. There is so much to know, and so many people aren't aware of this incredible legacy and the historical sites that hold the amazing and inspiring stories of our past. When I was growing up, we were told that African Americans didn't contribute to our communities in Oklahoma. But as an adult, I learned that couldn't be further from the truth. It's my goal to educate others so they understand the richness of our history here.
