Preserving the Voices of the Past

Honor The People
I'm Will Walker, and I am passionate about preserving history for the benefit of the communities that experienced it.

When I learned that the last segregated African American school was going to be destroyed, it broke my heart. I took its preservation on as my mission.

The building was in terrible shape. We decided to first replace the roof, but there is a lot more work to do. Since beginning the work, the people in the community have started respecting the site, taking pride in a building that was once left to crumble.

Historic preservation is crucial. We're preserving the voices of the people of the past and respecting the roots of the communities that were affected by it.
