Good Grief You Need a Place to Grieve

Comfort The People
Hi! I'm Nancy Kirstein, my husband Jeff and I own and operate Good Earth Farm in Lennox, South Dakota.

Good Earth Farm is a lot of things. We are an animal sanctuary, where animals who for any number of reasons, are on their last leg and in need of a haven to live out their days are able to call this farm home.

We host seasonal and weekend social events.

A few years ago a friend came to us and said we should put up a Wind Phone, and I immediately fell in love with the idea.

The first wind phone was built by Itaru Sasaki, who assembled it as a way to grieve for his cousin.
The country of Japan embraced the idea after the Tsunami in 2011 as a way to cope with the trauma of the immense loss of life.

Good Earth Farm is a safe place, a sanctuary, for animals and people alike. Whether it's for a social event, or a solitary journey to the phone, Good Earth Farm is a haven for anyone or any animal that is looking for a respite along the way.
