I contribute through long-term volunteer work in my community, especially by taking on major projects that improve shared public spaces. I helped lead the effort to build a new library, and more recently, I’ve been deeply involved in the full restoration of the historic Alvirne Chapel.
I’m inspired by my family’s legacy of volunteering—my grandparents and parents believed in giving back. Their example instilled in me the sense that contributing to the community is simply what one does.
I hope to address the needs of my community by ensuring that important public and historic spaces are cared for, restored, and accessible for future generations. More broadly, I’m trying to strengthen community life, especially during what I see as a challenging time in America.
I get deep satisfaction from seeing a project through to completion and knowing it directly benefits others. It’s meaningful to witness the impact that even small acts of volunteerism can have. I don’t do it for recognition—just for the fulfillment of helping create something that improves the lives of others.
