I’ve been sharing my story on social platforms like TikTok and Instagram. There was a time in my life that I just wanted to end it because of what I went through and because I have no family since I simply stood up for myself and told the truth about what happened to me growing up. It’s a story of what really happens behind closed doors. It’s a story of triumph and faith as well though, because we all have a choice in life and I could’ve chose to end my life because of what happened to me. I am the black sheep, even though I was the victim. There are many people out there that were out casted by their own family simply because they came forward with the actual truth of what happened and what they went through I tried to spread awareness and let other people out there know that they’re not alone and that they did not ask for what happened to them when they were a child. It was not their fault. They weren’t too much. They weren’t too sexy. They weren’t asking for anything that came their way it just unfortunately happens, but maybe the reason was because God had to make you go through that in order to come out on top and to be brave enough to come forward with your story and to help heal others that have been violated as a child and then the talk of the town and not in a positive way. The very people that were supposed to be protecting abuse victims, turn their head away and say "Tell them it’s not true," (when it actually was).
It heals me to help other people that went through the same thing that I did. Time and time again, I also need reminders that there are others out there; that I’m not alone - even though it gets lonely. There is hope and a chance to grow and live your dreams - I am living proof.
