My name is Reva Stewart, I am from the Bear Clan, originally from Northern New Mexico and have lived in Phoenix, Arizona for over 30 years. In 2022, I spoke out against fraudulent sober living homes that prey on unhoused Native People leaving them on the streets or worse. I decided to begin doing outreach by supplying our unhoused relatives with water, food, clothes and essential services to empower individuals to achieve stability and overcome challenges. We collect donations from the public and local businesses to distribute to our unhoused relatives across the city. In addition to hygiene kits, we also bring out hydration kits, because the summer temperatures can be deadly here. My inspiration comes from my mother who was always giving back to community, I always say I've got my mother's heart and my dad's strength. I know how hard it can be, my daughter and I lived in our truck for a short period of time, it can happen to anyone. We have created a village of support, from our outreach volunteers to individuals and businesses that send in donations, we couldn't do it without everyone coming together to help.
