Our society is structured in terms of the haves and the have-nots. For four and a half years, we have been giving free books to those who don't have ready access. We're totally fine with you picking up a book, judging it by its cover. We would just like you to pick up the book in the first place. People are reading, but they need to be matched up with reading material that they're actually interested in. There are tons of people who want to get rid of books. They're downsizing; they're moving; they're doing something in which they're either going to throw them away or give them to an organization. We got so many donations through the community that the books were just piling up. So we decided to open a bookstore to offer books at an affordable price of $5 to everyone. It’s about how you create value and opportunity, so people in your community can utilize a resource to the best of their ability.
